Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) is a water-soluble ammonium phosphate making a great yeast nutrient, resulting in stronger and more viable yeasts that in some cases work faster. It is a good source of nitrogen for your yeast and the added nitrogen will help the yeast will remain active through the ferment.
Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) is used to increase yeast production and growth. Works well in a yeast starter to increase activity and yeast reproduction. Diammonium Phosphate also works well with wines and meads, which are typically lacking in natural nutrients.
